January 24 R.I.P. Heath LedgerI've been such a *huge* fan of Heath's for years. The news of his tragic, shocking, untimely death has brought grief to those who loved him. My heart goes out to his family, friends, fans.. especially his parents, Michelle and precious little Matilda. My friend and I had mentioned Heath just the day before his death. Talking about his movies.. our favorites, and talking about The Dark Knight. I've been crying off and off the past two days.. I can only imagine how his family must be handling this. While I didn't know him personally, I feel like I've gotten to know him thru his work. Such a talented actor, a great human being. Such a loss. He will be forever in my heart. January 15 Oi.Havent been on here for a few days. But that doesnt mean I've given up or my dieting has stopped. The fridge has been restocked, the freezer has been restocked. The cabinets have been restocked. The only cheating Ive had was this past Friday. I've recently started this new job (Dec 17th was my first day). My best friend and I started at the same time. I started my diet/working out and then my supervisor informs us that every second Friday of the month is "Food Day". Great! They order out or everyone makes a dish and brings it. They opted to bring food. There goes all the work I put into it so far, I just knew it! Not to mention the next day was the weigh in/registration at Kmart.. I had a little bit of spaghetti, 1 1/2 garlic bread sticks, a big salad.. diet caffiene free pepsi to drink (I was in charge of those). Two cups of fruit. My friend from my old job gave me a brownie, and I had a couple cookies. I felt *so* guilty. I gave the rest of the pop away.. I bought about 6 two-liters, and kept only the diet caffiene free pepsi for myself. I didnt eat all the spaghetti I had, but I still felt way bad about the brownie and cookies. So I have since allowed myself one cheat day a month, lol. And Im trying to be good about that as well.
Last night, I was working out on the exercise ball, fell and I think I fractured a rib.. or it's severly bruised. So I am still dieting, but am limiting my working out for a little bit. I can walk, though. I cannot, for the life of me, find my pedometer. Im gonna have to buy a new one. Anyway, I am off to see the results on the Biggest Loser and off to bed. January 06 Yesterdays workout results. 1-5-8Yesterday was a good day overall. I had lots of fruit. I had a small salad with fat free dressing for lunch. Breakfast consisted of a banana and a 100 calorie breakfast bar. For dinner.. I had a small bowl of goulash and a couple slices of bread. Then I grabbed a bottle of my G2 by Gatorade, threw on some kickin' music and jumped on the gazelle. Those results are:
Time: 35.25 minutes
Distance: 2.25 miles
Calories: 275.2
So far today's menu has consisted of Special K cereal and a banana for breakfast with 1/4 bottle of my G2 stuff. Lunch was an 8oz glass of strawberry banana smoothie. And for dinner it's a small salad with a chopped up steak, green beans and a bottle of G2. The workout results will be posted later. January 03 Bleh.Alrighty. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my page to look all spiffy! The radio thing is too ghetto for me. I can't figure it out at all. lol. Which totally sucks, cause I want music! Anyway! I havent yet taken my *ugh* full body shot photo. I will get that done tomorrow after work. Whether it gets posted tomorrow after work is another story.
I have a Gazelle Edge... that is all tucked away. Only because we had family over for the holiday season and it was taking up valuable space. I need to bust it back out tomorrow. I actually love working out on it, so it should be no problem getting back into that routine. Put on some music, grab a bottle of water, and Im good to go for a few hours.
I've cut back on my diet, or cut it down? I've picked up some of those 100 calorie snacks.. they arent bad. I've had them before, but this time, it's gonna be replacing the not-so-good-for-you foods that I was eating. And the great thing about them is they have a wide variety. The oreo crips are my favortie. They even have granola bars.. which I did not know! They are quite good. I've been watching my calorie intake and trying to cut down on my sodium intake as well.
If ever I get this thing completely figured out.. or at least a manageable amount.. I want to share recipes and maybe perhaps menu and workout plans with everyone. Maybe it'll help you out as well. Anyway, 5am comes early. I promise I will take my picture, and work on this thing more over the weekend!

Basically, I am here to take the Biggest Loser's Million Pound Challenge! It's about midnight and I have to get up for work around 5:30! So this thing will have to wait for more updates tomorrow.. after my workout! I will take pics and add those and get this thing underway! For now, I bid you all a goodnight!
